Got questions?
We get asked these most often
Do I need a referral?
No. You can choose to pay privately, or use private health care cover if you have it.
If you want to claim a Medicare rebate however, you do. Fortunately it's pretty straightforward. Simply book a longer appointment with your GP and let them know what’s been going on for you. They’ll talk through your situation, put together a plan, and give you a referral which allows you to claim up to 10 subsidised sessions a year. You don’t need to be in crisis or at rock bottom to qualify.
We process the rebate for you. It is fine if the referral is addressed to another psychologist.
How much does a session cost?
Fees are $290 for a 50 minute session, and $195 for a 30 minute session. Our fees remain lower than the recommended rate advised by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). We absorb the credit card transaction fee.
If you have a Mental Health Referral, you will receive a Medicare rebate of $98.97 for a 50 min session.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long. On occasion people book a double session.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. While we understand there will be exceptional circumstances occasionally, please provide as much notice as possible when cancelling an appointment.
-
Cancellations with less than 1 business day's notice of the session start time will be charged 100% of the fee if the spot cannot be filled.
-
