Before we have even begun kindergarten, we have already started forming ideas and beliefs about ourselves, relationships and the world. These can be positive: I am safe. I am capable. People are generally kind and trustworthy. The world is safe to explore. They can also be damaging: I am not ok. I have to be perfect. People Leave. The world is dangerous and unpredictable.

These beliefs are like the software of our mind - operating systems running quietly in the background. We don't always notice them, but they shape the way we move through life. They influence the choices we make, the relationships we pursue, our health and habits, and even what we notice in the world around us.

Therapy is an opportunity to get a software check. We get to see which beliefs are helping, which are holding us back, and how to get unstuck from patterns we seem to repeat.

About Me.

Podcast enthusiast. Massive fan of the Nike Run Club App. Ok cook. Perfectly imperfect mum of two. Book club member. Owned by my dog (as opposed to dog owner - at least I have insight). Former Army Reservist. Always thinking in metaphors. Delightful weakness for hot chips. Very amateur yogi. Recently learned that I don't know the hidden meanings of emojis :(
